Select the “Play” icon to begin gameplay.
The 8x8 chessboard populates with a new layout of white and black chess pieces. Each game pieces already removed from the board.
Select the SPIN button on the wheel. The wheel spins and stops on (1) one of (12) different chess pieces.
The corresponding chess piece or pieces are highlighted in yellow on the gameboard.
Based on traditional chess piece attacks, all open spots in the line of sight of the highlighted piece or pieces are highlighted green. Spots with any of the opposing side’s chess pieces are highlighted blue.
The King can attack one space in any direction.
The Queen can attack unlimited spaces in any direction.
The Rook can attack unlimited spaces horizontally or vertically.
The Bishop can attack unlimited spaces diagonally in either direction.
The Knight can attack in an “L” shape either two spaces horizontal and one space vertical or one space horizontal and two spaces vertical. The knight is the only piece that can jump over other pieces.
The pawns can attack one space diagonally forward to the left or right.
The prize the player wins is based on the highest ranked opposing side’s chess piece that has been highlighted.
A player wins the jackpot if the opponent’s king is in the line of sight of the highlighted piece.
