Dental surgery

by MELADONNA HAYNES
It's a little long, but what good story isn't. My daughter, age 6 at the time, had to have dental surgery. It was scheduled for the Monday after Christmas. Yeah, I tested positive for Covid (not cool ??). We called the dentist and explained the situation, she just got worse after that. Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus said bring her in that Thursday. We sanitized the car, masked up and drove over an hour, stopped to get a few snacks, 2 lottery tickets on a whim (in Columbus) and arrive at the hospital. I couldn't go inside. I stayed in the car in the parking garage. Her dad went inside with her. The only thing that kept me from thinking about not being in there with my baby was those 2 tickets. I love the Cashword tickets. I must have done them so slow. I didn't care if I won, it would just be a bonus if I did. I did win as you can see, but the biggest prize was seeing my daughter when she got out of the hospital. Thanks for reading ??.
