“Amanda is always very cheerful, and she sits on a variety of leadership teams (Building leadership, Literacy, Special education). She goes out of the way to assist her colleagues and students in problem solving a variety of issues that prevents them from accessing the curriculum. Amanda is also the head XC coach and trainer for the boys' basketball team.” – Larry Ellis, Administrator
“The main thing that separates Mrs. Inniger from the

rest of the teachers at Arlington is that she teaches Kindergarten through 12th with no help. She does not have an aid or any type of teacher’s assistant. She is teaching anywhere from 20-30 kids in her small classroom by herself every day for the entirety of the day. She always keeps an outstanding attitude, has been a nominee for the Golden Apple Teaching award in Hancock County, and is one of the most selfless teachers and people you will ever meet. All teachers strive to be like Mrs. Inniger.” – Hannah Davis

“Mrs. Lump is an outstanding science teacher. She takes special care to build relationships and get to know students. Her ability to take an ordinary lesson and differentiate various components to meet individual student needs is phenomenal. She has been instrumental in creating and operating science nights for families, including career option presentations. Mrs. Lump is worthy of receiving this award for the great work she exudes on a daily basis.” – Mason Bryan, Administrator
“He makes school fun and helps the kids think outside

the box with many hands-on projects. He has a creative way of making every student feel accepted and special. He has a caring attitude for his students and co-workers. Matt starts the day with morning announcements which includes jokes, music and the Pledge of Allegiance. He reminds students to be safe, respectful and responsible. Matt is a true asset to Franklin City Schools!” – Jennifer Cowell, Administrator

“Mrs. Cryder has given many years to the students of Bishop Flaget School. She taught preschool and third grade for many years, and when COVID hit, she was willing to step up to meet the challenges of teaching math to the intermediate grades as well as several other subjects. Mrs. Cryder has been the Lego Robotics coach for several years and is planning to teach a coding class for fun to the students. Mrs. Cryder is always excited to learn new things, and she embraces new technologies. We are so proud of Mrs. Cryder, and we are blessed to have her as a teacher in our building.” – Laura Corcoran, Administrator
“Mrs. Carey is a wonderful 1st grade teacher who

coordinated the Angel Tree Program here at school and in our community. This program identifies families in need of help during the holidays and makes sure their needs are met. It is a huge undertaking, and she does this every year.” – Monica Malhmeister, Administrator

“Ms. Mast was asked to step into a new role this school year as the leading teacher in a multiple handicapped classroom. Ms. Mast has gone above and beyond to make this a fun, loving, caring and student-centered classroom. Along with being an outstanding teacher, Ms. Mast is also our building’s community outreach and public relations coordinator. In this role she has done an excellent job helping our students and staff make connections to our families at the Barberton community.” – Matt Saunders, Administrator
“Mr. Tim Fisher is a kind, compassionate and patient

teacher. He created a calm and caring environment in his resource room classroom of students with disabilities. He connects with each student on their level and has built relationships with each of them and their families. Mr. Fisher can be found every morning greeting students as they enter the building and giving a friendly hello as well as a heartfelt goodbye as our students leave for the evening. Toronto Jr.-Sr. High School is fortunate to have such a caring educator in our district.” – Betsy Jones, Administrator

“Mrs. Acheson exemplifies excellent teaching. She is committed to addressing her students’ academic, emotional and social needs. Many of Mrs. Acheson’s students receive support services from the speech therapist, occupational therapist, or physical therapist. Mrs. Acheson does an excellent job of coordinating with the support services. She thoughtfully designs her instruction to ensure that when students are out of the room for various therapies, they are not missing core instruction. Mrs. Acheson demonstrates compassionate, purposeful and engaging teaching.” – Beth Schwartz, Peer Teacher
