Beware of Social Media Scams this Holiday Season

The holiday season is nearly upon us, and we’ve been sharing our excitement on our social media pages. Unfortunately, this excitement also attracts social media scammers.

Last week, we celebrated our Cash Explosion fans with the Cash Explosion Player Appreciation giveaway on our Facebook page. In the days since, we’ve seen an increasing number of scammers in the comments. Multiple accounts have been posing as Cash Explosion team members and commenting to our followers that they are “one of the lucky winners of the new week Cash Explosion give away.”

These messages are a scam. If you participate in a giveaway on our Facebook page, you will receive a message from our verified account if you are a selected winner. If you see a comment or message similar to this with contact information, do not respond.

If you receive a Facebook message that you are unsure of, check the verification of the account. All of our social media accounts are verified, so look for the blue check mark.

Remember - if you didn’t enter a contest or buy a ticket, you’re not a winner.
