Aaron Hursey of Cardington scratched his way to a spectacular win! He won $50,000 playing instant game $500,000,000 Spectacular! Aaron purchased his winning ticket at Kroger #804, located at 801 N. Houk Rd. in Delaware.

A Westerville resident won the top prize on instant game Power 5s. Cody Walters won $150,000 playing the $5 instant game!

Jason Ferrell of Wheelersburg found a golden ticket! He won $10,000 playing instant game Willy Wonka Golden Ticket! Jason purchased his winning ticket at Clarks Pump N Shop, located at 312 Center St. in Wheelersburg.

Joseph Darr is having some Holiday Fun this week! He won $10,000 playing this holiday themed $10 instant game.

Loretta Binder of Elyria is celebrating a dazzling win this week. She won $10,000 playing instant game $300 Million Diamond Dazzler!

Jerry Knotts of Lancaster kicked his week off with a big win! He won $358,000 playing draw game Rolling Cash 5!

The Ticket to Security Trust has claimed the $1,000,000 prize for the Powerball drawing held on October 27, 2018.

The Painted House Passive Trust has claimed the top prize of $150,000 for the instant game 7.

Ten years ago the Ohio Lottery introduced a new game that's well known and still growing today. We're talking, of course, about Keno!

Every year we recognize the retailers who have hit the $1 million mark in Keno sales with our $1 Million Club. This year, 96 new retailers received the honor to become part of the more than 500 active $1 Million Club members. Many of those retailers are some of our original Keno retailers who jumped into the game back in 2008.

Kevin Wright is a big winner on EZPLAY game Quick Spot! He won $55,039 on the progressive jackpot game! Kevin loyally plays this game at Timberwolf Tavern in Toledo and was so excited to win big! He told us that has waited a long time to see “the Timberwolf” on our board of winners.

A Youngstown resident scratched his way to a big win! John Kaluza, Sr. won the top prize of $300,000 on Special Edition Cashword. He purchased his winning ticket at Speedway #3540, located at 649 E. Midlothian Blvd. in Youngstown.

Anthony Plicinski of Oregon, OH won big on Pick 5! He won $27,500 on the daily draw game! Anthony purchased his winning ticket at Johnny’s on the Spot II, located at 3205 Navarre Ave. in Oregon.
Myrtle Gray of Tiffin is celebrating a big win this week! She won $10,000 playing instant game Extreme Millions!

For these Academic All Stars and Teachers of the Month, the Halloween candy wasn’t the only sweet treat they received in October. Check out our October Partners in Education recipients!

Our first October Academic All Star is Nickiiya Jackson. She is a seventh-grade student at Akros Middle School. Nickiiya is described as very responsible and respectful. Teacher Mona Newbauer states, “She cares about her academics and it shows in her classwork, homework and assessment. She is a wonderful role model and example to her peers of what it means to be a great leader.”

Kendal Wood is our second Academic All Star. She is in the sixth grade at Teays Valley West Middle School. Kendal is praised as a great role model for her classmates. Assistant Principal Allison McSwanger says, “She is a positive influence on others. She always has a positive attitude and tries her best.”

Our first October Teacher of the Month is William Butterfield. Mr. Butterfield teaches Computer Science at Mentor High School. He is described as going “above and beyond” for his students. Colleagues describe him as patient, kind and devoted to his students. Recently, Mr. Butterfield spent a whole planning period helping a student.

Strongsville High School English teacher Kim Orr is another Teacher of the Month. She is described someone who makes a difference in the lives of her students each day. Her dedication to her profession shows; she brings creativity and a love of theater to her classes, she is always available for her students and makes them feel comfortable asking for help, and she maintains good relationships with parents and fellow faculty members. Teacher Ann Walz says, “She creates and modifies work that meets both the need of the student and the expectations of the curriculum and teachers.”

Nancy Wild teaches the fourth and fifth grade at Holy Trinity School, and she is an October Teacher of the Month. Mrs. Wild makes certain that her students succeed; she is described as going above and beyond to ensure her students are able to learn the math skills they need. She teaches them organization and keeps lessons engaging by offering a variety of teaching models. Lane Forthofer, a building sub and math specialist, says, “Mrs. Wild’s organization and patience is something to admire. She models this to her students by constantly working with them to stay organized.”
