Ohio Lottery Employees Help Stuff the Bus

Summer feels like it just got started, and within weeks school buses will be rolling in cities across the state as students head back to class.

Of course, students can’t go back without the essentials for learning success, and that’s where Ohio Lottery employees are lending a hand. Every year employees participate in a fund raising drive to help stuff the bus with school supplies for students in need. Our one month donation drive ended with over $1,300 in donations from Ohio Lottery staff!

We took that money and went straight to the store to stock up on the supplies that students and teachers need to have a successful year. Construction paper, notebooks, pencils, pens, tissues, hand sanitizer – you name it, we bought it, and we packed it into a truck to deliver to the Fox 8 studios in Cleveland for their Stuff the Bus school supply drive. While we were there we helped fill up the 12th bus of the day!

All of the supplies collected will go to the Kids in Need Resource Center in Cleveland, where teachers can find items for students in need in their own classrooms completely free of charge.

We’re so proud of the generosity of our staff, and we hope all Ohio students have a great start to the school year.
