CLEVELAND, OH – Jackpot excitement is growing with a combined $857 million in jackpots for the Mega Millions and Powerball drawings set for Tuesday, January 5, 2021 and Wednesday, January 6, 2021.

Tuesday’s Mega Millions jackpot is $447 million, the 10th largest jackpot in the game’s history. The estimated cash value is $329.7 million.

Wednesday’s Powerball jackpot is $410 million. The estimated cash value of $316.4 million.

This is the third time that both games have simultaneously had jackpots larger than $400 million.

At $857million, this is the highest combined jackpot total for the multi-state jackpot games since October 2018, when the Mega Millions jackpot reached its all-time record of $1.537 billion and Powerball reached $687.8 million.

Country Corral in Delta sold a Mega Millions ticket that matched five numbers to win $1 million for the December 4, 2020 drawing, and Sharon Square Wine Shop in Worthington sold a $1-million winning ticket for the December 8, 2020 drawing.

Mega Millions and Powerball tickets are $2 each. Players can add the Megaplier or the Power Play for an additional $1 for the chance to multiply non-jackpot prizes. Click here to learn more about Powerball and Mega Millions.
