$1 Million Powerball Ticket Sold in Austinburg

CLEVELAND – Shannon’s Mini Mart in Austinburg is celebrating after the store sold a winning $1 million Powerball ticket for the January 29, 2020 drawing.

The winning numbers were 9-12-15-31-60 and the Powerball was 2. The winning ticket matched the first five numbers to win $1 million.

Shannon’s Mini Mart Owner Shawn Shannon said he couldn’t believe the news when he got the call.

“What a charge for our community, our store and the people of our area. When they called me this morning, I wanted to do a cartwheel! This is a win for everybody, and we’re excited to be a part of that!” Shannon said.

Shannon describes his store as a little mini mart out in the country. He has owned the store since 2007 and said this is the biggest winner they have sold. Shannon’s Mini Mart will receive a $1,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

The winner has 180 days from the drawing date to claim the prize.
